Venezuela: Meeting of the Automotive, Auto Parts, and Tire Sectors to Strengthen Workers’ Organizations.
August 17, 2026: Correspondence: Valencia, (Venezuela), August 2026 — With 60 workers in attendance, this strategic forum aimed at reorganizing the working class was held in Carabobo State. This activity builds on the work assigned by the 3rd International Automotive Workers’ Conference, held in Pune, India. The main objective of the meeting was to reorganize and strengthen workers’ structures, as well as to maintain coordination of joint actions at the international level.
During the event, union leaders and spokespersons from workers’ representative bodies at 10 companies in the automotive and auto parts industries participated. The main session began with a detailed presentation on the current international and national situation of the automotive sector, which served as the basis for formulating organizational proposals aimed at consolidating the labor movement.
