July 5, 2026: Dear Comrades, Greetings from Shramik Ekta Mahasangh, Pune, India. On behalf of Shramik Ekta Mahasangh, we express our full solidarity with the workers of Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes, MAN, Porsche, and all automotive workers who are fighting against job cuts, plant closures, and police repression.

We strongly condemn the large-scale job cuts, factory closure plans, and attacks on workers’ democratic rights taking place in Germany and other countries. Sacrificing workers’ livelihoods to maximize corporate profits is unacceptable and represents a serious attack on social justice, labour rights, and decent employment.

We are particularly concerned by the arrest of workers who were peacefully distributing the workers’ newspaper outside the Audi plant. The rights to organize, express opinions, and conduct peaceful labour activities are fundamental democratic rights. Any attempt to suppress these rights through police action is unacceptable.

We firmly believe that an injustice against workers in one country is an injustice against workers everywhere. Therefore, we stand in full solidarity with the just struggle of automotive workers across Germany and all other affected countries.

Shramik Ekta Mahasangh calls for:

  • An immediate halt to all unjust job cuts.

  • Withdrawal of factory closure plans and protection of workers’ employment.

  • An end to police repression against workers and the withdrawal of all actions taken against the arrested worker activists.

  • Full respect for workers’ rights to organize, freedom of expression, and collective bargaining.

  • Industrial restructuring that places social justice and workers’ interests above corporate profits.

We fully support the principle adopted at the International Automotive Workers’ Conference: “No struggle should stand alone.” International working-class solidarity is our greatest strength, and we stand united with all workers fighting for justice, dignity, and secure employment.

Long Live Workers’ Unity!
Long Live International Solidarity!

In solidarity,

Shramik Ekta Mahasangh
