No to the closure of the Audi plant in Neckarsulm in Germany– Fight for every job and apprenticeship!
June 4, 2026: VW CEO Oliver Blume had already targeted the closure of four plants in Germany during the last supervisory board meeting. The plants in Emden, Hanover, and Zwickau, as well as the Audi plant in Neckarsulm, were cited.
Signs are mounting that the Audi plant in Neckarsulm is set to be closed. At the end of June, the last 150 of the more than 1,600 temporary workers employed there at peak times are set to being laid off. The remaining workforce of over 15,000 must now position themselves to fight for every single job and apprenticeship. This requires mobilizing the full power of the workforces and trade union and, if necessary, staging a self-organized strike. The corporate newspaper published by colleagues *Vorwärtsgang* addressed this issue on June 3, 2026; we are reproducing the extra edition of *Vorwärtsgang* for Audi Neckarsulm here (only in German available).
