Automotive Workers stand up against exploitation, right-ward developments and fascism, the threat of war and environmental destruction!

November 23, 2025: Joint resolution of the 3rd International Automotive Workers Conference: Under Donald Trump's administration, the US is pursuing an aggressive imperialist policy under the slogan “America first.” The fascist threat is spreading rapidly in many countries around the world and has led to many right-ward and fascist governments and heightened anti-communism. Where this leads can be seen in the support given by the US and Germany to Israel in its genocide against the Palestinian people. NATO and the US and other imperialist states are the main aggressors in the world, Russia is continuing its war of aggression against Ukraine.

Imperialist competition for raw materials, the battle for world market share and power claims are exacerbating environmental destruction and the danger of a war that could escalate into a Third World War and nuclear annihilation.

The capitalist crisis means massive attacks on the working class: pressure on wages, inflation, rising rents, mass layoffs, environmental destruction, racism, anti-migrant policies and dismantling of workers' rights. The division caused by the global increase in contractual work and huge refugee movements especially from the Global South (to which the war in DR Congo contributes) is a challenge for our joint work. The capitalists exploit these immigrants and defame them to the detriment of the entire working class. We say NO to a policy of “scorched earth” with uninhabitable areas worldwide.

China's rise to become a major power and a leading vehicle manufacturer and exporter has reshaped the market hierarchy. Traditional car manufacturers have fallen behind Chinese companies. This struggle is leading to a restructuring of production and supply chains, resulting in absolute chaos, exacerbating the crisis of the capitalist system, and leading to a murderous battle of annihilation.

The race for electric vehicles and artificial intelligence (AI) also has a negative impact on the environment, especially as long as it is not based on renewable energies. The intensive mining of lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese is leading to the destruction of habitats and ecosystems, groundwater contamination, and a shortage of these natural resources.

We, the workers in the automotive industry, are not responsible for its murderous competition.

We are not attached to combustion engines and private transportation, nor to mountains of scrapped cars. We are fighting against fascism and the progressing transition to a war economy. “Workers don't shoot workers.”

It is not environmental protection that is to blame for job losses, but the pursuit of maximum profit and global market dominance by multinational corporations. Instead, we demand a reduction in working hours to 30 hours per week or 6 hours per day with full wage compensation!

If capitalism, with its international war of annihilation, can only function on the basis of destroying the foundations of human life, we declare war on it as a whole system! In many countries around the world, automotive workers are waging tough struggles and strikes.

It is our task as an International Automotive Workers' Coordination to fight in solidarity with workers fighting for immediate protective measures for our class, linking these struggles into a unitary mass movement for working class power in our respective countries without which we cannot achieve the fundamental changes we desperately need to ensure an enduring quality of life for our generation and future generations and a planet free of exploitation and oppression, without harboring any illusions about the possibility of fundamental change within capitalism

We are waging these struggles as part of the fight for social transformation, for a society free from exploitation and oppression. This requires us to take responsibility for the future of humanity.

Let’s build a global, militant grassroots movement of automotive workers, men and women, young and old together, their families, and friends. Our goal is cross-border coordination and cooperation in struggles, the regular exchange of information and experiences, the organization of international solidarity, and the democratization and strengthening of trade union organization.

No struggle should stand alone in the future! Divided we are weak united we are invincible. The struggles by automotive workers must be rapidly merged and united into a global movement to guarantee a life of dignity for all. We are continuing to expand our corporate cooperation!

The Fight for a Life of Dignity must be fought now, or it will be too late!

Long live the International Automotive Workers' Movement, long live the Coordination of Struggles!

(unanimously adopted by delegates meeting of 3rd International Automotive Workers Conference in Pune in India on November 23, 2025)
