Solidarity with the Audi workforce in Brussels - Come to the big demonstration on September 16 in Brussels!

September 9, 2024: The International Automotive Workers' Coordination calls for solidarity with the struggle of the Audi workforce in Brussels. Come to the major national demonstration with Europe-wide participation of trade unions on September 16, 2024 in Brussels. The Audi Board of Management announced the plans to close the plant with unprecedented arrogance and callousness. However, the colleagues in the logistics companies and production directly affected are striking against this. The solidarity with this struggle is obvious. It is therefore exactly right that the works council, other trade unions and workforces will hold a joint demonstration in Brussels and mobilize nationwide in Belgium.

The call for the demonstration raises the question: Today it is Audi and who will it be tomorrow? That is no longer an open question! With the announced mass lay-offs and even the closure of entire sites at VW, in the steel industry, at Opel, ZF, etc., the participation and mobilization of these workforces is a matter of honour.
Together against the shifting of the burden of capitalism's crisis onto our backs. We workers are a strong force when we fight internationally for our interests and the future of young people. We must not be guided by the mindset of “our country” or “our location first”.
Fight for every job and apprentice position! For a full legal right to strike in all matters!
Let's organize solidarity addresses to the striking colleagues in Brussels, the participation of many colleagues and trade union delegations.

The demonstration in Brussels on Monday, September 16, will start at 10 a.m. at Brussels North Station. Demonstration march to Place du Luxembourg.

Call and poster of the 3 trade unions for the demonstration: The industry belongs to us. Thousands of industrial jobs are threatened by the end of the year and are about to be destroyed. Today Audi and its subcontractors and suppliers. Tomorrow which others? * For a plan for a strong industry! * Defend our industrial quality jobs! * For investment and against austerity!
