I was elected at the 2nd International Automotive Workers Conference in South Africa. I would like to inform you that the VW Board of Management is carrying out a general attack on the entire VW workforce, at least in Germany. There will be redundancies in steel industry, at Ford, at many large suppliers such as Bosch and many other companies. A total of 300,000 are to be made redundant.

International Newsletter GM-Stellantis No. 25 - October 2024
From the Stellantis/GM Group Coordination in the IAC: Dear colleagues, We urgently need to strengthen global labor unity and fight in a coordinated way in the face of a new wave of attacks and in view of the right-wing developments worldwide! We welcome the current upswing in international workers' solidarity! On October 17, delegations from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and the USA came to the French automobile workers' day of action in Paris. We were there with a delegation from the IAC! It was a great fraternization with the joint singing of the “Internationale”! The following day, Italy experienced a 24-hour strike in the car industry and a demonstration in Rome by 20,000 car workers, their families and friends and many international delegations. We must use this internationalist spirit for the ever better real coordination of our struggles!
Solidarity with the Audi workforce in Brussels - Come to the big demonstration on September 16 in Brussels!
September 9, 2024: The International Automotive Workers' Coordination calls for solidarity with the struggle of the Audi workforce in Brussels. Come to the major national demonstration with Europe-wide participation of trade unions on September 16, 2024 in Brussels. The Audi Board of Management announced the plans to close the plant with unprecedented arrogance and callousness. However, the colleagues in the logistics companies and production directly affected are striking against this. The solidarity with this struggle is obvious. It is therefore exactly right that the works council, other trade unions and workforces will hold a joint demonstration in Brussels and mobilize nationwide in Belgium.
IAC Coordination Group in Germany: Fight against mass layoffs at Volkswagen
September 6, 2024: Dear colleagues, September 6, 2024 The Board of Management of Volkswagen wants to cut 30,000 jobs, close plants and is planning compulsory redundancies, a general attack by VW on the workforce, families and the VW regions. So far it has affected temporary workers and now the core workforce. The VW Group was a model of co-determination and class cooperation. The VW Board of Management is breaking agreements and openly violating this policy of class cooperation. The naked dictatorship of the monopolies is now clearly coming to surface at VW! It is not only the VW Group, but leading monopolies and the capitalist association BDI are announcing a tougher approach towards the employees and their trade union, our IG Metall.

Two years ago you already prevented lithium mining. Now the heads of the Mercedes Group, the EU and the German government have directly intervened to enforce this environmental crime.

International Info Letter GM-Stellantis No. 24 - August 2024
From the Stellantis/GM Group Coordination in the IAC: Dear colleagues, Fascist and fascistoid parties made alarming gains in the 2024 European elections. Marine Le Pen's "Rassemblement National" won in France, Giorgia Meloni's "Fratelli d'Italia" in Italy and the fascist "Freedom Party of Austria" (FPÖ) in Austria. In Germany, the fascist AfD received 15.9 per cent of the vote. In the Netherlands, a fascist party leads the government. In India, the fascist Modi government can continue to govern despite losing votes. In the USA, the fascist Donald Trump could win the elections in the autumn. The workers must come to terms with fascist demagogy if they want to fight for a better future.

Protest and solidarity resolution against the announced plans for a possible Audi plant closure in Brussels, Belgium
14 July 2024: Dear colleagues, The International Coordination Group of the International Automotive Workers' Coordination strongly protests against Audi's plans to close the plant in Brussels. At least 3,000 jobs are directly affected and others at affiliated suppliers. The workforce has already had to accept production cuts and short-time working since the beginning of the year. 371 temporary workers have already been terminated. When production of the Q8-e-tron is relocated to Mexico, there will be no successor model. The workforce is facing the end.
VDL subsidized due to layoffs
July 11, 2024: VDL Nedcar has stopped producing cars for some time. However, the dismissed personnel have by no means all found jobs. Some workers have worked there all their lives and at 55 can't be called old, but the bosses think differently, it seems. More than 750 people are on unemployment benefit and either do not have a job or do some volunteer work. There will now be a good two million in subsidies to help people find work. Much of this money will go to the South Limburg Work Center. The subsidy comes from the European Union, the province of Limburg,
