Automotive workers – take action against environmental destruction! Fight for a future worth living in unity with people and nature!

November 8, 2025: ICOG call for International Day of Environmental Struggle on November 15, 2025: Hurricanes and typhoons have recently killed and injured hundreds of people in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, devastating entire regions. The infrastructure has been completely destroyed. In the Philippines, over a million people have had to leave their homes and seek safety. This scenario clearly shows what humanity can expect in the near future in the face of these climate disasters as global warming increases. As automotive workers, we cannot turn a blind eye to this. That is why the issue of environmental destruction, necessary immediate measures, and a livable future in unity between humans and nature will be an important topic at the 3rd International Automotive Workers' Conference from November 20-24, 2025, in Pune, India. The International Coordinating Group (ICOG) has included the issue of the struggle to protect the natural environment in its proposed resolution to the conference delegates.

Canceled editorial Blitz from 4.11.25 Stellantis plans drastic cutbacks in Europe:

That’s enough – Now it’s our turn to speak! Stellantis spreads good news in public: unit sales and sales revenues are rising again. But BLITZ has learned: Behind closed doors they are planning and discussing which plants are to be closed. Rüsselsheim, Eisenach, Termoli and Melfi in Italy, Poissy near Paris, Madrid and Glivice are candidates for closure. Further information underpins this assessment: in the pilot plant in Rüsselsheim no successor model is in sight. Opel CEO Huettl complains that the production of e-cars in Germany is too expensive. At the same time, Stellantis is investing $13 billion in the USA in new combustion engine car plants. They are talking behind our backs about the livelihood of tens of thousands of workers, of families and regions – and we are supposed to stay out of it? This is not acceptable!

International Information Letter GM-Stellantis No. 28 – November 2025

From the Stellantis/GM Group Coordination in the IAC Dear colleagues, We are sending you the text of a special edition of the group newspaper “Blitz” for the German Stellantis plants. We have typed up the article especially for you because it contains explosive information and good suggestions for our cooperation, in particular the proposal for a group-wide day of action against plant closures. Such a proposal must, of course, be thoroughly discussed in every country and every plant. There will certainly be thorough discussions on this at the 3rd International Automobile Workers Conference at the end of the month in Pune (India). That is why we would like to make the information and assessments known immediately:
